Additional Information:

We are pleased to partner this year's CF-FDC & Quad weekend with the University of Doglando's "Doglympics" event at Avalon Park in Orlando.  There's going to be a lot of activity for the public as well, with some fun stuff for everyone at the Doglympics. There will be demos in Agility, Flyball, Lure-coursing and Herding in addition to our Tournament, so there's plenty for dog lovers to watch and participate in everywhere.

Saturday's CF-FDC will be at the central plaza area in town along with the Orlando Doglympics event. Competitors will be able to park nearby and bring their tents and gear to the competition site, we are trying to coordinate a designated loading/unloading zone to offload competitor's gear and I'll let everyone know if we get the OK for that. There will be vendors alongside our competition venue, so it should be fairly easy to get to and from the parking spaces on the sidewalk.

Sunday's Quadruped will be at the softball field down the block from where Saturday's CF-FDC will be, parking will be in the parking lot next to the field and should be even easier to get to.

And for more Orlando Doglympics info, check out their website at - https://www.doglympicsusa.com

Saturday Event Schedule:

7:30 AM - Open on-site registration
8:45 AM - Registration closes, Player's meeting
9:00 AM - Opening ceremonies, then CF-FDC competition begins

  • Round 1 Open Division Freestyle &  Round 1 Novice Division T & C
  • Round 1 -Intermediate division Freestyle
  • Round 1  Advanced division  Accuracy Qualifying Round  (Top 50% of competing field)
  • Round 2 - Novice division Throw & Catch
  • Round 2- Open division Accuracy
  • Round 2- Intermediate division Accuracy
  • Round 2- Advanced division  Throw & catch
  • Awards Ceremony

Competition Format:

This year's competition format will be much like last year's, with a qualifying Accuracy round for the Advanced division.
The top half of that cut will then move on to the second round, which will be Throw & Catch (T & C).
The rest of the divisions should have the same format as last year's event; 2 rounds of  T & C for the Novice division, 1 round of F/S and 1 round of Accuracy for the Intermediate and Open divisions. We will be implementing the "Pam Plan" to incorporate the Freestylers plus give our Novice division competitors a chance to participate early on.  Intermediate Freestyle will have 90 seconds (minute and a half), Open division Freestyle will have 120 seconds (2 minutes). Seven discs of your choice (no Humphrey Flyers or Floppy discs please!), a variation of U.F.O. Freestyle judging criteria will be utilized for this event.
